Well Ms.Faughey recommended that I read this comic book like book called Maus for my next IR book. Seems really cool, and once again, is written in a really unique style. Comics are generally funner to read than regular books, so I probably wont be getting to bored, and right now the story seems pretty good. The son of a Jewish person in WW2 gets the story of his fathers experience in Europe... and the whole story is told through mice, pretty cool imo.

NO ALICE NOOOO
Well im finished with the book now, pretty dissapointed with the ending, could have been a lot more to it, but supposedly it was a true story... NOT. I was reading a story online about how they found out the author made it all up or something like that, this makes me not like the story... I feel almost like I've been lied to. This whole story now seems like it was just another, average run of the mill drama story, about a drug addict, it now has nothing special to set it apart. Being a true story made it seem real and cool, now its pretty eh... btw the whole, Her parents came home and found her dead thing sucked... way to short and an easy way out of concluding the MADE UP story

Druggies Make Me MAAAAD
Ok so Alice tries pot at her friends house... thats cool I guess, tries it once or twice, nearly everyone has/will. Pot isnt addictive, but no she wants it baaaad. She likes getting high and the state of euphoria she gets put in when she tries it. Then the whole pot trip shes on turns into a flat out drug addict problem. She wants all kinds of drugs now, acid, pot, whatever you could thing of, she wants. She also tries random things just to get high, kinda reminds me of the South Park where everyones Cheezin and Kenny sniffs flowers to get high at the end just because hes desperate for another trip. Make meh sick.

Go Ask Alice
Well my friend recommended me this book, Go Ask Alice, so i figured I'd give it a try. I was skeptical at first solely because of the name... sounds like a real girly book, but when he (James) showed me it, it looked pretty cool. I Like how it was written in the form of a diary (supposedly a real diary), so it gives it a real personal feel, not like its all somone's made up adventure story. From what ive read so far, the books going pretty fast, mostly because of how its broken up thanks to its Diary setup... and the fact that the book is pretty good makes it go by fast too i guess

Finally Finished
Well i finally finished The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and I must say, for once I enjoyed the book more than the movie. I really think i enjoyed it because I could just picture the characters and events here differently than they were in the movie, yet still get the same idea from a scene. Some parts of the movie were pretty boring (snow place), but just imagining these scenarios in different ways can make them seem a LOT cooler. Who doesn't like altering the way something is and including their own fantasy world?

Answer to Life
Well towards the middle/end of the book, Zarphod, Arthur, and Ford began to look for the answer of life. After going through hell to find it, they stumbled across the large shrine kind of place where the answer was located. It was a computer statue guy thing, and apparently it didnt have the answer. Later on, Arthur still manages to discover the answer... and surprisingly it is a number. What kind of answer to life is a number? I dont want to say what number it is as I might spoil the book, but seriously... makes no sense
Book was really good... but really nonsensical, obviously thats how it was intended but really.... people cant be that stupid and things just.... cant be that stupid.

Marvin the Robot
Marvin is a companion to the main character, Arthur, and his friend, Ford, throughout much of the story as I've read it. He has an abnormally large head since he has such a huge brain. He is a GPP robot and hes supposed to simulate people's personalities. Hes a prototype and seems pretty broken, because all he can simulate is sadness. He always is down, doesn't want to do the jobs hes ordered to, and complains a lot. I thinks its pretty funny the way he acts and responds to people, but that doesn't make him any less of an odd character. Marvin also seems like he may end up playing a particularly large role in the story seeing how he and Arthur are just standing there on the cover of the book.

Idiocracy Meets Star Wars
A lot of the book is about this survival guide, which has some really dumb tips in it. Some of the advice seems to make no sense and seems to have just been made up randomly by somone. These dumb tips or even the obvious ones, remind a lot of this movie called Idiocracy, which takes place in the future where everybody is a lot dumber, a LOT dumber, and people can barely comprehend English. Of course the dumber... or better yet sillier tips arent THAT stupid, i do get the Idiocracy Vibe from them... also the Captian is a complete moron.
This is also a space adventure book, so i get a Star Wars feeling from it. I can't read it without hearing the Star Wars song go through my head at least once. The set-up is also very similar to Star Wars, where planetary beings embark on a space journey for one reason or another and bring along companions with them.

Independant Book
The Book im choosing to read is the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams
One reason im choosing this book is because I have sen the movie for it, and really enjoyed it and would like to see how the book and movie both compare.
Another reason is the fact that it is a science fiction AND comedy book, two things that peak my interests, so the book seems like it would suit me well.
It would probably take me about 3-4 hours to read 100 pages depending on how into the book i get.
The author, Douglas Adams, died not long ago in 2001 and lived for an entire 50 years
